Hey guys..This isn't another one of those chain bulletins, this is Heather actually writing and believing in something pretty strongly.. so please read.

I just was reading and watching videos about something horrible that's going on in Japan.. more specifically Taiji, Japan.

About 6 months out of every year, Japanese fishermen herd and lure dolphins and whales into a netted bay area, basically to slaughter them for money/food. There's a small group of people who are part of the Save the Whales Again organization who paddle out to those nets on surf boards and try to convince the fishermen to stop. They try to educate them about what they are doing. What they don't know is that the meat from whales and dolphins is actually toxic, and that by eating and selling this meat to their people as food, they're poisoning themselves.

You may have heard something about all of this recently, when Hayden Panettiere joined and became the spokesperson. Well I watched the videos and read the stories. I saw the footage of those dolphins and the red of their blood in the water. I think everyone should see it, actually.

This is a really horrible thing thats going on... and maybe we can all help stop it... Even if we can't swim out there on surfboards and stop it with our own hands... we can still get involved... It's a good cause and it's worth 10 minutes of your time.

Here's what you can do:

- You can write to the Japanese Prime Minister, Yasuo Fukuda, and tell him how you feel about it. Tell him you wont buy any Japanese products or visit Japan until they stop killing and capturing dolphins and whales. You can do that here: http://www. kantei. go. jp/foreign/forms/comment. html

- Write, e-mail, or call President Bush and let him know that you want the US to use its sanctioning powers available under the Pelly Amendment against Japan, Norway, and Iceland until they stop whaling.
